Jeff Bush's 820whp 1G goes nuts at Pinks

July 3, 2008

For long time customer and long time friend, Jeff Bush, his dreams have recently come true.  His latest project 1G has been completed, dyno'd, licensed, and raced.  An intense build sponsored in part by ETS and EnglishRacing has resulted in a very potent first generation eclipse. 680whp at 24psi and 820whp at 38psi, with a best e.t. to date of 9.4@151 at only 34psi of boost.

The build consists of a solid deck 10:1 compression 6 bolt with aluminum rods.  It has some of the features that our race motors typically end up with:  electric water pump, ETS 4202 turbo kit, ETS 6" (yes thats right, six inch) FMIC, JMfabrications dual rail sheetmetal intake manifold, 8 RC1600cc inejctors to feed the E98 from the Magnaflow KING SUMO electric fuel pump.  An EnglushRacing 3.5" side exhaust lets the gasses escape. Of course the car is caged for sub 9 second passes at over 150mph as well.  A Simpson parachute is out back to help slow it all down.  An AEM controls the fire and is coupled with a SparkTech COP system with a JMfabrications COP plate.  Lexan windows and no interior other than a Kirkey drag seat and tach all help to bring the weight down to the 2400 lb level with driver.
